Competitive Analysis Tab - Tab 3
The Competitive Analysis tab discovers, profiles, and deeply researches your competitors using AI. Each competitor is analyzed across their business profile, marketing strategy, product portfolio, online presence, and customer reviews. You can also trigger per-competitor deep research reports with AI-generated strategic insights.

Prerequisites
Target Audience data should be completed first. The AI uses your audience profile (demographics, geography, competitive environment) to identify the most relevant competitors to analyze.
Analyzing Competitors
Setting the Competitor Limit

Before running the analysis, set how many competitors you want the AI to find and profile. The default is 7. You can increase or decrease this number — more competitors means a longer processing time.
Running the Analysis
Click Analyze Competitors to start. The AI will:
- Identify competitors relevant to your business type, location, and audience
- Profile each one in detail
- Fetch public review data where available

Analysis Progress Tracker
During analysis a progress panel shows:
- Keywords being searched (listed as small tags)
- Competitor pill badges — one per queued competitor: ✓ (completed), ● (current / in-progress), plain text (pending)
- Current competitor name and step description
- Progress bar with overall percentage
The process runs sequentially. Click Stop at any time — already-completed competitors are preserved.
Competitor Overview Table

Once analysis is complete, competitors appear in a table (not individual cards). The table has four columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Company | Brand name |
| Address | Full address or headquarters (truncated with tooltip) |
| Ratings | Colour-coded badge: green (≥4.5) → emerald (≥4.0) → yellow (≥3.5) → orange (≥3.0) → red (<3.0), plus review count in brackets |
| Actions | View Details / Hide Details toggle button |
Competitor Detail View
Clicking View Details expands an inline detail card below the table with two tabs:

Deep Research
For any competitor, open its detail view and switch to the Marketing Research tab, then click Deep Research.
This generates a detailed markdown report covering:
- Strategic positioning
- Content and advertising tactics
- Identified vulnerabilities and opportunities
- Recommendations for how to differentiate against this competitor
The report streams in real time (you see it being written word by word). It includes AI "thinking steps" showing the reasoning process.
Each report is timestamped and saved to the strategy. You can re-run deep research at any time to refresh the analysis.
Quick Research

Also on the Marketing Research tab. A faster, shorter version of the deep research report — concise summary without the full strategic breakdown. Both Deep and Quick Research reports are timestamped and saved on the competitor object so they persist between sessions.
Tips
- Run the full analysis first, then selectively do Deep Research on your top 2–3 most important competitors.
- Check Negative Reviews of competitors — these are your best opportunity areas.
- The Marketing Strategy section shows which ad channels competitors invest in, helping you decide where to focus your budget.
- Competitor data is not live-updated automatically. Click Analyze Competitors again if you want fresh data.
